Room Number 304 Disclosure
If you have not read the previous part, please read room number 304 encounter with ghosts before reading this part
Sameera burst out into tears and I had no other way but to console her as we had lost trace of her brother. My head hurt but I collected myself up to reach out to the switchboard and switched on the lights. Sameera was devastated and so was I, we left the room and went to the manager to ask for help and inform him about our great loss.
My eyes would have popped out and my ears would have fallen off had I not controlled myself, such was the sight, as we headed towards the lobby Sameera started to giggle and on reaching the lobby I found Sharman laughing at my dilapidated state. I felt embarrassed because I could not see through their trick. I tried to defend myself by saying that I knew it was they because ghosts are supposed to be dead and they do not breathe. It was of no good use because they were convinced that I was scared of ghosts. Sameera disclosed the matter to me when we had dinner they had done this with a little help from the hotel staff
Conclusion
Everything was planned, the torch going off, the basement being covered in complete darkness, Sameera sensing a ghost to Sharman escaping from the basement itself, the hotel staff turned off the lights in the laundry on purpose right after we managed to lift up ourselves from the basement, everything was planned in advance.
We left early the next morning because we had to turn up to our respective workplaces. Before leaving the resort, I went back to the site it read “Room No. 304”, was it not supposed to be the laundry or was that a part of the set up too. Alternatively, maybe I did not pay much attention to the details; the whole incident left an indelible imprint on my mind and a checkerboard of memory flashes before me as I recall that lazy Sunday.
