The Time I Accidentally Wore Two Different Shoes to Work

One day, I woke up early, excited to start my day at work. I quickly got dressed and headed out the door. It wasn’t until I got to work that I realized something was off. As I sat down at my desk, I looked down at my feet and realized I was wearing two completely different shoes.

In my rush to get ready, I had grabbed one black shoe and one brown shoe. And to make matters worse, they weren’t even the same style of shoe. One was a dress shoe and the other was a sneaker.

At first, I was mortified. I couldn’t believe I had made such a silly mistake. But then, as I looked around the office, I noticed that nobody seemed to have noticed my mismatched footwear. So, I decided to roll with it and see how long I could go without anyone noticing.

Throughout the day, I went about my usual tasks, trying my best to hide my feet under my desk. But it was a hot day, and my boss asked if I wouldn’t mind walking with him to grab some coffee. I knew I couldn’t avoid the inevitable any longer.

As we walked down the street, I braced myself for my boss to notice my shoes. But to my surprise, he didn’t say a word. In fact, nobody seemed to notice until the end of the day, when one of my coworkers finally pointed out my mismatched footwear.

Everyone had a good laugh at my expense, but it was all in good fun. And in the end, it was a reminder not to take myself too seriously. Sometimes, the best thing you can do is just laugh at yourself and embrace your mistakes.

Don’t spill the Beans

Spill the beans

Shayan and Riyanka are cousins and best friends, with the auspicious occasion of Rakhi round the corner they had decided upon a time when they would chalk out plans for the day to make the most of it via video calling. The curtain rises to show Riyanka relaxing on the couch and munching on a pack of chips and typing something on her laptop. She looks at the wall clock and starts a video call with her Shayan.

Shayan: Hi

Riyanka: hey, can u see me?

Shayan: I can see you but you are barely audible.

Riyanka: My screen froze, just give me a while.

Shayan: Ok, I can see you and hear you, all good.

The Sprawling Villa

The Sprawling Villa

The Sprawling Villa

Emmalie’s room was in a complete clutter when I sneaked in to test the waters about her groundwork and I happened to step on her Dolly, the doll just as Emmalie, draped in pink. Nevertheless, I found something enchanting about its eyes; it showed every sign of unexplained things.

I being an ardent listener and a doting observer always looked forward to something unexpectedly amidst the accustomed. My thrust for exploring the unknown took a flight the next day right after the everlasting sensation I felt when Steve touched my soul the cryptic cognizance added to the grandeur.

Time does not heal everything

Time does not heal everything

Everyone says time heals any broken piece but sometimes being too careerist hurts your relationship and so time does not heal everything. Relationship is like a glass ball which when dropped breaks, you can glue it but it will never be like the old one.

Career is like a rubber ball, it will bounce back to you.

TIme does not Heal Two young girls and a young boy, probably in their late teens in the balcony discussing relationships, engaged in a deep conversation trying to make a reason out the few experiences they have had for all these years. Poorvi and Manav are already committed to each other; Maansi is Manav’s cousin and best friend. Poorvi flaunts her hourglass figure by leaning against the wall to keep Manav’s eyes hooked up on her; the peplum top and pencil skirt accentuate her beauty. Maansi is more of a geek who likes to pay attention to the details and reads between the lines to probe deep into the pneumatic locus and come up with solutions and hence she is the apple of everyone’s eye. Manav is in his casual with his nerdy glasses on and Maansi wears a short yellow dress with her hair undone, she lets her hair swing with the touch of wind blowing and soothing the young souls.  Slow fade in. Maansi holds a Garfield coffee mug in her hand, and Poorvi is busy filing her nails, Manav looks disturbed. Maansi is standing in the extreme left; Poorvi is in the middle and Manav in the extreme right corner.

Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home

Read more about the fate of these cute pups in this home sweet home section.

People repeatedly rejected me for my appearance, I am a mixed breed pup, and there is a deadline for all of us here at the shelter. If nobody takes us with them, they put us to sleep forever. Such is our fate. Nobody takes us out for walks, we seldom get a loving touch, I do not know who lives next to me but we are all friends.

Last night a poodle named Suzy arrived here. She seemed sad, gloomy, dull and depressed for her family left the city and they could not take her with them and so she slept with her chew toy. She was very unaware of the horrors of being a part of the shelter. Suzy did not speak unless asked to. She is snob.

Everyone who passes through the aisle notices her and falls prey to her charming aura. She has a white fur coat, very well-groomed and she is the apple of everyone’s eye. A little girl entered the room with a dog collar in her hand. We started to bark in unison in order to catch attention, Suzy was an exception to it, she sat in one corner of her kennel and I guess she was silently weeping.
